I believe how yoga changes your body will thrill you. Because yoga works the body from the inside out, it will alter your perception and understanding of what healthy really is.
When your mind is not being stimulated and made anxious by your environment, your attention will shift away from surface concerns and into the wisdom of your own body. Practiced regularly, you will experience steady growth; you will be blown away by how good your body feels and how your mindset shifts in a positive direction.
Amazing things begin to happen
Lower Stress: We are all under some level of constant stress and our bodies are continually in the ‘fight or flight’ mode, activating our sympathetic nervous system. This leads to bouts of chronic health problems such as anxiety, depression, headaches etc. Yoga’s stress busting power comes from the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, commonly referred to as the ‘rest and digest’ response.
Life will still happen; you will always face challenges and disappointments. What yoga can do is to bring you to a place of surrender; helping you let go of that which you have little or no control over.
Incredible Sex: It should come as no surprise that a regular yoga practice boosts your libido, enhancing your level of sexual satisfaction. Studies show that this ancient method of relaxation, exercise and healing improves several aspects of sexual function in women, including desire, arousal, orgasm and lubrication.
Roll out your mat, get familiar with your body. You will likely benefit from your yoga practice by becoming more in touch with your sexuality. Why wouldn’t you want to enjoy a deeper connection with your partner and a heightened level of sexual satisfaction?
Healthy Weight: Yoga’s apparent fat-busting capability lies more in heightened body awareness and inner strength than the physical activity itself.
Yoga forges a strong mind-body connection that ultimately helps make you more aware of what you eat and how it feels to be full. So when you've eaten enough food, you're sensitive to the feeling of being full, and this makes it much easier to stop eating before you've consumed too much.
Realize that your body is not your enemy and yoga can be a positive influence for change. Your awareness to your body means you have better control of your appetite and the way you think about food. It is a phenomenal way to change the relationship of mind to body, and food to eating.
Foster Relationships: Many people would agree that intimate relationships can be among the most difficult to navigate. They can be the most explosive and debilitating or the most peaceful and exhilarating. If you want to create deeper, more sustainable connections bring yoga into your life and experience the healing that comes from within.
Often we step into new relationships dragging all of our baggage along with us. If you can deepen the level of intimacy with yourself, you can build stronger relationships with others. You must first come to know and love yourself before you are ready to enter into a relationship with another.
Science is catching up with ancient wisdom and today science proves what yogis have always known. Inner reflection, stillness and mindfulness that is experienced from practicing yoga, is conducive to complete well-being and enhanced performance in all areas of life.
Placebo Effect: Science is discovering the truth behind mind over matter, something ancient yogis have instructed to yoga practitioners for centuries. How yoga changes your body through the placebo effect is real; your belief will enable your mind to heal your body. It’s when the brain gets mired down with suspicion and skepticism that disease triumphs.
Fundamentally, yoga reinforces the mind-body connection; making it stronger and more perceptive to the world around you. The way you incorporate your practice into your life will become the way you live. Believing you will get better can help your body in the healing process.
Love your body from the inside out
Yoga is so much more than just another exercise routine; it is a practice that delivers a powerful bang for the buck. And while it’s not a panacea, it is an effective medicine for your mind, body and spirit.
In order to reap the benefits of yoga, you must incorporate it into your already busy schedule and make it a lifelong practice. The more often you practice, the more you will see how yoga changes your body and experience the advantages of its healthful properties.
Transforming you from the inside out, yoga will give you a new appreciation for life. You may find yourself walking with more spring in your step and a more radiant glow than you’ve ever experienced before.
