It’s really not so complicated.

You can either focus on all the positive attributes that make you who you are, or you can focus on the negative. And while it’s easy to diminish your own value, it’s more realistic to accept and love yourself as you are.

It’s high-time that you recognize the value you already have rather than spending your time and energy wishing for more. Instead of second guessing yourself, get busy pursuing your goals and chasing after your wildest dreams.

Let these five reasons why you should love your body guide you to inner peace.

#1 Practice an attitude of gratitude

Life is too short to be in a hate-state with your body—healthy comes in all shapes and sizes. It’s time you begin to respect your body like it belongs to someone you love!

Appreciate how the parts of you, make-up the whole of you. Take time to reflect on your blessings rather than your blemishes. Accepting yourself as you are is a radical act of taking back your power.

Don’t allow your mind to bully your body into believing otherwise.

#2 Confidence is contagious

People who aren’t happy with how they look present themselves unfavorably. When you are self-assured you create a genuine, magnetic energy. By loving yourself, you will feel more composed and carefree—naturally attracting positive and supportive people into your life.

Falling in love with who you already are, you radiate good vibes without effort and begin to draw happy people who are having fun, into your inner circle.

#3 You are worthy of respect

You are not at the mercy of others! With Hollywood standards of what ideal beauty is, blasting us day after day, it’s easy to forget that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Quit wasting time worrying about your figure—nothing about you is ordinary.

Your happiness isn’t size specific and your weight does not equal your worth. Forge a new relationship with yourself and witness your full potential; gain a true appreciation for who you are and what you’re capable of. Embrace and love your body, it’s the most important thing you will ever own.

#4 Spirituality is supreme

Your body is your temple—it was created as your personal sanctuary. Honor your divine gifts and one-of-a-kind soul by recognizing that you are amazing and unique. After all you have something to offer this world that no one else can.

By freeing yourself from the chains of perfection you can send your love out into the world and begin to share and celebrate your extraordinary gifts.

#5 Be perfectly, imperfect you

Know that you are beautiful just the way you are. It can be difficult to appreciate your own body, especially when you look in the mirror and all you see are your flaws. Could it be that you are so used to seeing your reflection that you’re overlooking how beautiful you really are?

When others see you, they are not just admiring your physical form, they take into account your personality, wit, intelligence and so much more.

I guarantee there is someone out there that wants what you have.

Be true to yourself

If you really want to live all of the days of your life, stop spending your precious time wishing for things you don’t have, instead take pleasure in the things you do.

It takes a tremendous amount of self-love, patience, and openness to be accepting of yourself. By appreciating who you are right now, you will be far more productive and live a longer, happier, and healthier life.
